How do you rename an MDF file

All Orders 4.X

  1. File - Close Company

  2. Ensure all users are out of All Orders

  3. Select File -- Maintain and click the Advanced tab.

  4. Click Detach

  5. Minimize All Orders

  6. Rename the .MDF file.

  7. Delete the .LDF file having the old name.

  8. In All Orders, select File -- Maintain and click the Advanced tab.

  9. Click Server Setting

  10. Accept to load the information on the previous company file.

  11. Click the second browse button and find the renamed MDF file.

  12. Click OK

  13. Confirm that you want to attach the file.
