Error - This Item is not serialized

'This Item is not serialized' when adding lot / serial #s to items that have only opening adjustments.

This message may be displayed when attempting to check the 'Has Lot/Serials' checkbox and then add lots for an item that has quantity but no transactions. To avoid this message make a minor change to the item (i.e. edit the description) and then check the 'Has Lot/Serials' checkbox. After you have entered the lots/serials change the item back. This has been fixed in version 4.0.18.
